Does Garnier shampoo cause hair loss?

About 5 years ago I started using the Garnier Fructis hair shampoo after finding that it was the best available shampoo while I was living in Europe.  However, after returning to the United States, I kept on using the shampoo and after about 1 year I noticed that my hairline was receding!  I was about 21 years old at the time and I could not think of any other changes that happened in my life that could possibly be causing this receding hairline.  While balding does occur in my family, it typically occurs much later in life usually around the age of 50 to 60.  For me however, I was seeing definite changes in my hair line at the age of 21!  This caused me to panic and I started thinking about ways I could delay or prevent more hair loss from occurring.

After realizing that it was potentially the shampoo I was using I switched to Herbal essences and noticed that the receding has stopped.  It has been 5 years since I quit using Garnier Fructis hair shampoo and the receding hairline has maintained its position rather than gotten worse.  Another thing that shocked me about this shampoo is that my Dad started using it shortly after I came back to the United States because I had recommend it to him.  Granted, he is much older than I am (over 60) but he also complained of increased hairloss after using the shampoo.  He was already starting to lose his hair, but after switching shampoos he experienced increased rates of hair loss.  Also, after he quit using the shampoo, he noticed that his rate of hair loss had slowed down.

Now I cannot be confident that it is the shampoo itself causing the hair loss, but both myself and my father experienced increasing rates of hair loss after using Garnier Fructis consistently.  Probably the strongest indicator for me was that the hair loss stopped after I switched to Herbal Essences shampoo.  I'm curious if anyone else has experienced hair loss after using Garnier Fructis, or maybe it was just a coincidence.  Let me know your story in the comments below.

Good book for relationships with Thai girls

I have only purchased one book to learn about the idiosyncrasies about relationships with Thai women, but it was the perfect book.  It goes through the common miscommunications including relationships, money, sex, marriage, family, trust, and even living in Thailand together.

The book is great because it contains both English AND Thai on opposite pages and presents the materials in a very light hearted way funny pictures.  The book begins by talking about the "honey-moon" period associated with the relationship, including how happy both of you are with your new beau.  However, soon cultural differences create frustrations.  For you, its wondering why she asks for money all of the time, or talks with so many people including both guys and girls.  She also may go out all of the time and be very vague about her actions.

While she wonders why you were so sweet in the beginning of the relationship, and have lately become more quick-tempered.  "Why did he change so much" she thinks...

This book goes over all of these topics and discusses potential solutions and recourses to keep the relationship positive.  I have personally bought this book and used it to solidify my relstionship with my Thai wife.  The book was so good that I loaned it to a friend and it was never returned!  Granted I have a great wife, who thinks like a Western woman (for better or worse), but this book was a great help for those certain frustrating situations when I didn't really understand why she was acting the way she did.

She even read the book to understand me better, to learn why I was so kee-neow (stingy) among other things.
